Keyboard, screen reader and low-vision support in the Tuning Wizard.

The Tuning Wizard is designed to be used without a mouse and with a screen reader.

Keyboard

  • Press Tab to move between buttons, answers and sliders.
  • On the first Tab stop, Skip to main content jumps past the step indicator.
  • Choose answers with the keyboard the same way you would click them.
  • Back and Next stay at the bottom of every screen.

Screen readers

  • Each screen starts with a heading such as "Step 2 of 5: Basic".
  • The step indicator announces each step as current, completed or not started.
  • When Next is unavailable, the reason is available to your screen reader, for example "Answer the questions above to continue." or "Play the test audio and move the slider to continue."
  • Follow-up questions and listening progress are announced as they appear, including messages such as "Listened 3 of 10 seconds".
  • Slider changes and the selected ear (Left ear, Right ear or Both ears) are announced.

Reading the test audio

The Audio Test screen has Read what the recording says, which opens a transcript of the test recording. This is useful if you cannot hear the audio clearly yet.

Large touch and click targets

Buttons and answers are sized to be easy to hit, with clear focus outlines and strong contrast between text and background.
