Playback devices

Choose where SonicCloud processes your audio.

SonicCloud personalizes the audio you send to a playback device, such as headphones or speakers. By default it prepares your default playback device automatically. When you change the default device in Windows, SonicCloud follows it and makes sure processing is ready on the new device.

Check that it is working

The Processing light in the main window turns green when your profile is being applied. To confirm you can hear it, play something and move the Boost slider up and down. You should hear a difference in loudness.

Turn processing on or off

Right-click the SonicCloud icon in the notification area of the taskbar and open the Devices menu:

Select DevicesOpens the device selection window.
Enable Processing on Default Playback DevicesTurns processing on for your default devices.
Disable Processing on All Playback DevicesStops SonicCloud processing on every device.

Select Devices

If the Processing light does not turn green, or you want to choose devices yourself, open Devices > Select Devices. It lists your audio devices and lets you choose how SonicCloud processes each one.

Select an option from the drop-down list next to an audio device.

Select Apply and wait a few seconds.

Check the status light next to the device. It should turn green, and so should the Processing light in the main SonicCloud window.

If a light does not turn green, choose a different option and apply again.

Select Test Audio and move the Boost slider up and down. You should hear a difference in loudness.

Use Refresh Devices after you plug in or remove a device. Select Disable all other processing options only if another audio enhancement is conflicting with SonicCloud.

Use the same device you listen on

SonicCloud processes the device you choose. Make sure the device you are listening to is the one that is set up. If the Processing light stays off, see Troubleshooting.
