License Server
License SonicCloud across your organization from a license server on your own network.
The license server licenses SonicCloud for your whole organization from a server on your own network. It needs no internet connection and sends no data outside your organization.
How licensing works for you
- Floating seats. A seat is used only while SonicCloud is open. Closing SonicCloud returns the seat.
- License file. SonicCloud sends you a
.licfile. An administrator imports it in the admin console. - Installing is free of limits. Install SonicCloud on as many workstations as you like. Only simultaneous use counts.
Roll out
Set up the license server
Your IT team sets up the license server and signs in to the admin console.
Import your license
Import the .lic file. See Admin console.
Install SonicCloud on workstations
Deploy with msiexec or ConfigMgr. Test on a pilot group first.
Check seats
Confirm that active seats appear in the admin console.
