Core concepts

The handful of ideas you need to understand SonicCloud.

Profiles

A profile is a saved set of sound settings. SonicCloud applies your selected profile to everything you play. You can keep as many profiles as you like and choose between them from the profile selector in the main window.

The Tuning Wizard creates your first profiles. You can then save changes to an existing profile, or save them as a new one.

Sliders

Each profile has sliders that shape the sound: Comfort, Boost, Sharpness, Richness, Consonants, Vowels and Fullness. Together they control loudness, clarity and the overall character of the sound. See Sliders.

Ears

Your two ears may hear differently, so SonicCloud lets you adjust the Left ear, the Right ear, or Both together. Use Both when your hearing is similar in each ear.

Playback devices

SonicCloud processes audio on the playback devices you use, such as headphones or speakers. The main window shows whether processing is active for the current device. See Playback devices.

Processing

When SonicCloud is processing, your profile is being applied to the audio you hear. A Processing light in the main window turns green when this is working.

Editions

SonicCloud comes in an online edition, which uses an account, and an offline edition, which uses a license key. See Online and offline editions.
