# SC Key Server (/enterprise-offline/sc-key-server)

SC Key Server manages your SonicCloud licenses for you. There is no license server to deploy or maintain. Each installation activates once and receives its own **SC Key**. After that, SonicCloud works offline until the key expires.

## What you get [#what-you-get]

- **One place for your seats.** SC Key Server tracks your purchased seats and who uses them.
- **A key for each device.** Every installation gets its own SC Key.
- **Offline use.** After activation, SonicCloud does not need a connection to SC Key Server.

## Example: 100 licenses [#example-100-licenses]

An organization buys **100 licenses** valid until **31 December 2027**. After 78 installations activate, 78 seats are allocated and 22 are available.
